Welcome to Our Storytelling. This website is devouted to being a resource for people to discuss their stories and hopefully find some stories that inspire them. My name is Mike Maillaro. I have been writing for 25 years. I recently finished writing my first novel, which ended up being all about stories and storytelling, and that is what inspired this website.

Is this a vanity project?

Of course it is!

No one spends this much time building a website without wanting to show off at least a little. No one asked for this site. I'm not even convinced anyone actually needed this site.

But I do hope visitors finds something here that makes them smile, laugh, think, or remember one of their own stories.

Is this website just a cheap promotional piece?

Absolutely.

I genuinely hope people discover this website, pick up my book (and maybe evenutally books), and send me lots of human monies. Or, at the very least, they find something here that entertains them for a little while or distracts them from whatever chaos the real world has cooked up today.

Here's my promise.

This site will always be honest. I'll tell stories that embarrass me a little. I'll admit when I was wrong. I'll show you deleted scenes that never should have seen the light of day. I'll talk about the books, movies, songs, and people that helped make me who I am.

And I hope you'll do the same. Because that's really what this place is about.
